In response to Hurricane Helene, Devoted Healing Arts is hosting community clinics at our Boutique Healing Studio in downtown Asheville—available on a first-come, first-served basis. We’re committed to supporting our local economy and providing quality holistic care as we recover from the storm. Our efforts are centered around nurturing our community with love, kindness, and joy.

This clinic is the perfect example of how a community can be strengthened after a life-changing event. Hurricane Helene affected everyone in our community in both obvious and nuanced ways, and to be in a position to provide hands-on support to anyone that walks through the door of Devoted Healing Arts has been a privilege and a pleasure. The microcosm that we all create together in the room, both givers and receivers, is such a sweet cocoon of safety and nourishment— the ideal “shelter from the storm”! Though WNC acutely feels the many devastating affects of Helene, we have also harnessed a newfound sense of ownership of our humble community and all of our loved ones within it, and with that comes a sense of responsibility to take care of each other. Sometimes it’s hard to know what that can look like in a practical sense, so what better way to participate in a constellation of healing than to come together to share nurturing touch? I’m grateful to be a part of holding this special, sacred space as we grieve, transition, and evolve as a collective.

I appreciate working within community clinic for a few reasons. First of all, it supports community needs by providing a healing environment that is accessible for those that may not be able to afford full-priced, private sessions. Also, from a practitioner’s perspective, it’s a fun, casual vibe that cultivates collaboration and a synergetic transmission of each individual’s strengths into the field of service. So, it’s a nice place to steep one’s self.
