Embodied Trauma Healing Trainings

This training, which takes place in person in various beautiful settings worldwide, offers participants the opportunity to explore the meaning of trauma both conceptually and personally and to engage in dialogue and healing practices that will deepen your understanding of trauma and how to work towards integrating the impact of it on our capacity to live a fulfilled life.

The teachings offered on this training draw from the pioneering research of Dr. Lawrence Heller and Dr. Peter Levine, aim to transform our understanding of the impact of both childhood and shock trauma on our nervous systems, our psyches, and our capacity to relate to ourselves and others.

During the training, we explore highly effective tools for integrating the impact of trauma on our systems, which can be applied personally for your personal growth and inform those already working with clients either clinically or in another capacity.

As well as learning new tools and approaches, we will also be closely examining topics such as:

  • shock trauma

  • developmental (childhood) trauma

  • nervous system work

  • attachment systems

  • neuro-biology

  • the polyvagal theory

  • and other contemporary research in the fields of psychology and human development

There is hope.

Our sincere belief is that even in the most challenging of predicaments, there is an opportunity to transform fragmentation into wholeness.

As we look within ourselves, becoming aware of what trauma is and how it impacts us, we can also begin to explore approaches for healing and integrating our experience.

Looking into our pain and suffering is not easy, however with experienced guidance and learned insights, it is possible to begin the journey of freeing ourselves from the hold that our past experiences have on our capacity to fulfill our true potential.

“Trauma is at the root of human dysfunction.

It is the residue of life experiences that couldn’t be digested, individually and collectively. The intensity of trauma will take on a life of its own, creating symptoms and dis-ease.

We have two ways to deal with this residual trauma energy we carry: either it will drive and sabotage our life from deep within, and we will recreate it or pass it on to others…or we take up the work of trauma healing and bring relationship, presence, and compassion to our previously unfelt intensity and pain. This, over time, transforms the pain and turns us into wiser, more mature, and compassionate human beings. This is the alchemy of trauma healing.

We must be courageous enough to undertake this work so that we can participate in our lives more fully, and so we don’t keep perpetuating the cycle of passing on trauma to one another and future generations.”

Thank you to Ralf and Dominique, a complementary team and inspiring pair, for creating a strongly supportive field of presence, in which participants were each allowed to absorb and release whatever was relevant, at our own natural pace. I would highly recommend this to anybody interested in exploring human healing and evolution!! I left the retreat with new friends, a greater understanding and a deep sense of compassion and hope for our shared future on this planet.
