Frequently Asked Questions
+ Can I attend even though I am not a licensed massage therapist?
Yes, absolutely. This course may be a grand entry into a new profession as a massage therapist!
+ I have no previous experience. Can I still take the course?
Yes, you can take this course with no previous experience. However, it is an intermediate course, and it's advised that you feel comfortable being hands-on in this learning environment.
+ Is this a traditional approach to Thai yoga massage?
This is a specialized course with traditional aspects. This style of bodywork has a Western adaptation that is sensitive to the Western body and nervous system, which is different than the average Thai/Eastern body.
+ When will I receive my certification?
Upon completing this course, you will receive 16 credit hours, which you can apply to your NCBTMB certification. Confirm with your state massage board to make sure they accept NCBTMB approved courses.
+ What should I wear to class?
Loose and comfortable clothes you can move around in.
+ What should I bring?
∙ Bring a Thai Massage mat and your pillow. If it's your first class and you have yet to invest in a mat, please bring what you can. This can be something as simple as a 3-inch memory foam mattress topper or a pile of thick blankets. If you are traveling from far away, please get in touch with Dominique to help organize a mat for you.
∙ Waterbottle and/or tea thermus
∙ A pen for note-taking
∙ Snacks for break 😊
+ From where did you require your expertise?
I am a licensed massage therapist, graduate from the Florida School of Massage and Hydrotherapy, and instruct CEU certified Thai Yoga massage trainings worldwide. I travel to Thailand yearly to assist Thai Yoga Massage trainings with my partner Ralf Marzen, founder of Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage in London. You can know more about me and my professional background here.
+ What is the structure of the day?
Using the Feet course consists of practical hands-on training with easy-to-follow demonstrations and students giving and receiving Thai Yoga Massage sequences. The course will highlight theory, proper techniques and body mechanics, and the spiritual aspects of Thai Yoga Massage.
Class begins at 9am and ends at 6pm. There are two 15-20 minute breaks and an hour break for lunch.
+ Is lunch provided?
No, lunch is not provided. Students are encouraged to share lunch 'potluck' style during our hour break or can go to a local restaurant or cafe.
+ I am coming from out of town, where can I stay?
I recommend finding a place on Airbnb or a lovely retreat space nearby. Please message me here, and I can also help you find a place near the course venue.
+ What are the measures for Covid?
You must take a Covid test 2 days before the course with a negative result or be vaccinated to attend. Bring hand sanitizer and a mask if that feels comfortable for you.
+ Class preparations and etiquette:
∙ You are advised to come with a fresh and sober mind and body. Please do not consume excess alcohol or drugs before the course because this bodywork detoxes the body.
∙ Do not wear synthetic perfumes for sensitive people.
∙ Arrive clean and body odor-free (especially your feet!).
∙ You may arrive 15 minutes early before we start to get settled nicely in the space.
∙ During demos, you're allowed to take videos for your learning purposes and can share snippets of your time on Social media. However, this must be done tastefully and not be distracting. You are not allowed to upload full-length videos online.
+ Registration and Payments:
If you are registering for the course, please fill out the electronic forms and liability waivers provided. You will receive a warm welcome email shortly after. If registering with a credit card or on PayPal, expect to pay an additional 3% processing fee.

You may cancel your registration at any time for a full 100% credit refund. This credit can be applied to any of my future workshops, private healing sessions, and offerings (not only the Thai Yoga massage modality). Credit can also be gifted to someone else. Your credit will never expire!
