Women’s Drumming

Dominique educates women in the Sacred art of frame drumming to cultivate creative energy and the feminine spirit.

The frame drum is a powerful trance-inducing instrument played for thousands of years by priestesses and laywomen worldwide.

The ancient practice of this rhythmic drumming engages the conscious mind as if in meditation, connecting us to the universal flow of energy both internally and externally.

It is also a devotional practice that supports spiritual abundance and strengthens the voices and hearts of those of us who engage with this sacred art, allowing us to claim the deep feminine power that resides within us.

Playing the frame drum can:

  • improve concentration and psycho-somatic wellbeing

  • "help" access trance states of consciousness and vision

  • "aid in healing."

  • enhance ceremonial spaces to deepen presence and connectivity

  • attune "one" to the rhythms of nature and the cosmos

  • bring people together through the power of sound and music

  • support sacred chanting and dancing

  • assist grounding and coming back to self

  • be a creative and lively way to express yourself

Women who drum together can connect to their own rhythms, form a healthier collective view on their own potential, and loosen the unconscious grip of dominant culture beliefs.

What Women Say…

Dominique’s passion and generous, attentive presence invite others to show up in their passion, aliveness, and excellence. She creates a welcoming field for us to feel and amplify the groove together, and to revel in the nectar there. Her instruction is clear and she presents information about technique and rhythms in cogent, digestible sequence. She is a fun and able exemplar of one who has heeded the call of a drum the shape of the full moon whose rhythm can be as vitalizing as a heartbeat

Dominique is an excellent facilitator - serving as both inspiration and guide with her own embodied, radiant presence. Learning how to play the Frame Drum was much more than technique - it was easy to see the depth and wisdom in Dominique’s practice, and how those qualities radiate out to inform every other facet of experience. She is deeply committed to creating a great experience and I found her care, creativity, and integrity to be embedded in how she teaches.
